Pure

I grew up on a farm in central Limburg, where my love for animals and nature was born. Plenty of space and the joy of being outdoors. I started horseback riding at age 10, which I continued until I was 27. Due to several falls from and on horses, I suffered from chronic headaches for six and a half years. It was a period of rehabilitation, a search for healing, of trial and error, but it shaped me into who I am today. After I was free of symptoms, I started my own company, Puur Lifestyle. I quit my job as a real estate agent to pursue my passion: sharing my knowledge and skills in health and sports to empower women.

Power sports

It started with teaching a few yoga classes and has since grown to include a gym, nutritional coaching, and events. All of this on the same farm where I was born. In the meantime, I've done strength training/powerlifting for four years, competing in several events, including the Dutch National Bench Press Championships (finishing third twice). I immersed myself in strength training and completed my PT Henselmans certification. I still do strength training as a foundation, but for the past three years, I've been completely in love with outdoor sports.

Fresh air

After a very short first ride on a road bike, I was hooked! I loved exploring the outdoors. A sprint triathlon started as a bucket list, but soon more followed. From Olympic distance to a half triathlon in 2023, with the Almere-Amsterdam Challenge this coming September as my big challenge. I also learned to snowboard, gravel, and mountain bike this year. You can also find me on a stand-up paddleboard or surfboard. As long as it's something outdoors and sporty, you'll find me there.

Conscious

That's how I discovered camping and love going out with my "little pony" dog. I love going on adventures with my bike, running shoes, and swimwear. For the animals, I became a vegetarian at age 12. In my quest for a healthy diet, with an eye for animals, the environment, and others, I've been eating a completely plant-based diet since February 2016. I haven't changed my diet since then. I eat mostly organic to nourish my body as much as possible for my health and hobbies. In my quest to heal my pain, I eat very consciously for health and am quite critical of my nutrition. Since I started doing endurance sports, it took me a while to find the right food that aligns with my core values: as pure as possible. I discovered Kalkman, and I haven't changed my diet since then.
